EXPLANATORY NOTE
WHEREAS, it has been observed on the previous town fiestas that the road fronting the St. Louis Bertrand Roman Catholic Church has been used to put up business establishments which includes canteens and videoke bars offering intoxicating liquors and beverages to their customers
WHEREAS, these business establishments such as but not limited to canteens and videoke bars are so noisy that they are disturbing the solemnity of rites in the church to the annoyance of the church goers
WHEREAS, these business establishments be banned from using the lane immediately fronting the Roman Catholic Church during the town fiestas ,
NOW THEREFORE, on motion Of Councilor Eleanor V. way, duly seconded by Councilors Poáerio R. Tendero,• JestiS G. Cardinez, Melchor J. Cardinez, Sr. and Edmundo L. Samilin, it was
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to approve the following Ordinance, to wit:
ORDINANCE NO. 1
SERIES 2008
AN ORDINANCE BANNING THE OPERATIONS OF ALL KINDS OF BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS, THE LANE IMMEDIATELY FRONTING THE ST. LOUIS BERTRAND, ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH DURING TOWN FIESTA
Be it enacted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Asingan, Pangasinan in session assembled that
Section 1. This ordinance shall be known as "An Ordinance banning the operations of canteens and videoke bars in using the lane immediately fronting the St. Louis Bertrand Roman Catholic Church during Town Fiesta".
Section 2. To preserve the sanctity and solemnity of church rites and other church activities operations of all kinds of business establishments shall be prohibited in the afore-cited area.
