En el portal de Belén
Una nuichi clara y fría,
Está el Neñu, San José
Y la bendita María.
La Virxen unos mantiellos
Filvanó, tapau con ellos
Ta 'l Neñín ena cunina,
Iguaí San José los rizos
Y estélase nos hechizos
Daquella llume devina.
¿ Por qu' en nuichi tan xelada
Prúyete facer la entrada
Bondadosu rapacín ?
¡ No la escoyer templadina,
Allegre y estrelladina
Como la de San Xuanín !
Entós irín los ñeñinos
Con sos zarciellos y flores
A facete mil primores
Y llevate á so xardín;
Pedirín pa tí na villa,
¡ Y qué bona xiraldilla
La que se fixés allí !
¿ Más ende con tantu frío
Pa quear atarrecío
Querer n' hibiernu ñacer
Dexando 'l senu del Padre ?
¡ Val Dios que tienes tal Madre
Y quierti tanto Xosé !
Pero que xele, que xele,
Que se cuele muncho sele
El vientu pela gatera;
Ha ponete Pá el capiellu
Y la Virxen un mantiellu,
Y arroxarán la foguera.
¿ Pero qué diañu de fuéu
Quiés rapacín xunt' a tí ?
¡ Si ambures los corazones
Con sólo averase ahí !
