User talk:Mdupont
Add topicHello Mdupont, welcome to the multilingual Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.
This wiki is the original Wikisource wiki, originally hosting works in many languages. The larger collections have been spawned into separate projects, leaving this wiki to serve as a central collaboration point, and as an environment where works without a language subdomain can be started. Refer to our languages list to see which languages still reside on this wiki. You can find a list of the separate language projects on the main page or here and you may want to look at the our coordination page for limitations on placing certain works on the separate language projects.
Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.
The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page!

Sources and licences
[edit]Hi. In your last edits you should improve some details, especially the notes about the licence and the sources.
- The source is the page where you have the document from, so it must be changed on the page Index:KosovoVetëvendosje!Programi i shkurte.pdf where you link to a internalk page on the Oldwikisource (and the name of the source is not "pdf")
- the document Index:KosovoVetëvendosje!Programi i shkurte.pdf has been published 2010 so that you should explain why it is free; it comes from http://www.vetevendosje.org/repository/docs/programi_i_shkurte.pdf whereby the site http://www.vetevendosje.org uses to tag all pages with "© Copyright - VETËVENDOSJE 2010"
- When you publish here texts from OSCE like Index:OSCE KODI ETIK I MEDIAS SHQIPTARE 21139 sq.pdf so it is necessary to quote the licence, see "Content on the OSCE website is subject to copyright. The OSCE must be credited as source when using content from its website. For texts, the publication or page the texts originate from must be given" (from http://www.osce.org/item/13253.html), which means it is copyrighted like CC-BY and you have to quote this licence when using the documents.

- Thanks for your attention. I will fix the OSCE. About KosovoVetëvendosje, they are a political party now entering into the parlament. I think that the document should fall under the public information. I will write to them about permission. thanks Mdupont 09:13, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I would like to clarify the copyright on your document http://www.vetevendosje.org/repository/docs/programi_i_shkurte.pdf
I have made a copy of this into commons.wikimedia.org http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:KosovoVet%C3%ABvendosje!Programi_i_shkurte.pdf with the copyright info :
The copyright holder of this file allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that the copyright holder is properly attributed. Redistribution, derivative work, commercial use, and all other use is permitted. see : http://wikisource.org/wiki/Index:KosovoVet%C3%ABvendosje!Programi_i_shkurte.pdf
We would like to transcribe this and use for for our documentation of albanian language and culture, please confirm that it is ok.
thanks, mike

- I have deleted two of the indices pending getting permission. Until then they are copyright violations as the OSCE does not allow the free use of their materials, see: copyright terms. If you get a license from them you will have to have it sent in to the OTRS system. See Commons:OTRS. Sorry for any inconvenience, the documents can easily be restored by any administrator once you have the license.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 03:47, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
