Dunyoda eng yaxshi narsa – kunning tug’ulishini ko’rmak!

Ko’kda quyoshning birinchi shu’lasi tutashdi; tun qorong’ilig’i sekin-sekin tog’ jilg’alarig’a va tosh yoriqlarig’a, daraxtning quyuq barglari orasiga, shabnam yegan ko’katlar to’riga berkinmakda: tog’ tepalari esa mehribon bir tabassum bilan kulumsirab, kechaning mayin ko’lankalariga demakchi bo’ladilarki: – Qo’rqmangiz: bu quyosh!

Dengiz to’lqunlari oppoq boshlarini balandlarga ko’tarib, saroy go’zallari o’z qirollarig’a salom berganday, egilib salom beradilar-da: – Ey dunyo podishohi, sizni salomlaymiz, – deydilar.

Yaxshi ko’ngulli quyosh kuladi: bu to’lqunlar tuni bo’yi o’yinga tushib pir-pir aylanib chiqdilar, endi mana – toza urunganlar, yashil kiyimlari g’ijimlanib, barqut shokilalari o’ralashib ketgan.

Quyosh dengiz ustida ko’tarilarkan:

– Kun oydin! – deydi. – Kun oydin, suluvlar! Hay, bas endi, jim bo’ling! Siz bu balandlarga irg’ishingizni qo’ymasangiz, bolalar cho’mila olmaydilar! Yer yuzida hammaga baravar yaxshi bo’lsin-da, shunday emasmi?

Toshlarning yoriqlaridan keskaltirik*lar yugurishib chiqadilar-da, uyqusrag’an ko’zlarini pilpillatib, bir-birlariga:

– Bugun kun issiq bo’ladi! – deydilar.

Shu issiq kunda pashshalar (chivinlar) erinib-erinib uchadilar, keskaltiriklarga ularni tutib yeyish juda oson keladi; yaxshi-yaxshi pashshalarni tutib yeyishning o’zi – shunday mazaki! Keskaltirik degan narsa juda xo’randa bo’ladi.

SHabnam bilan og’irlashg’an gullar sho’x-sho’x tebranadilar-da, xuddi tegishkandek so’zlaydilar:

– Qani, taqsir, erta bilan, shabnam libosi ichida qanday go’zal bo’lganimizni yozingchi! Bizga qarab turib, so’z bilan, kichkinagina portretlar yozing- Yozib ko’ring-a, juda oson: biz shunday soddamizki…

Juda ayyor narsalar ular! O’zlari xo’b yaxshi biladilarki, ularning dilrabo go’zalliklarini so’z bilan yozib bo’lmaydi, shu uchun – kuladilar!

Men, ular oldida ta’zim bilan shlyapamni boshimdan olaman-da, deyman:

– Siz katta mehribonchilik qildingiz! Meni shunday bir sharafga erishtirganingiz uchun qulluq sizga, faqat bugun mening vaqtim yo’q. Keyincha, balki…

Ular, quyoshga tomon uzalganlari holda, faxrlanib kulimsiraydilar; quyoshning shu’lalari, gul barglari bilan bargchalariga brilliant jilolarini sepib, shabnam donalarida yiltillaydilar.

Ularning teppalarida halitdan – oq oltin rangli asal arilar uchishadi; uchisharkan, shirin asalni mazza qilib emishadi va iliq havoda ularni quyuq ashulalari quyuladi:

Turmushda quvontirg’an –

Quyosh maqtovli!

Er yuzin yasantirg’an –

Ishlash maqtovli!

Qizil ko’krakli “qizilto’sh”*lar uyqudan uyg’ondilar: ular, ingichka oyoqlarning ustida tebrana-tebrana to’xtag’anlar-da, o’zlarini sokin sevinch kuylarini kuylaydilar; qushlar o’zi, dunyoda yashashning qanday yaxshi ekanini odamlardan ko’proq biladilar. Bu qizilto’shlar quyoshni hamma vaqt hammadan ilgari qarshi oladilar; olis va sovuq Rusiyada ularni “Zaryanka”* deb ataydilar, chunki ularning ko’kraklaridagi parlari shafaq rangiga bo’yalgan bo’ladi. Butazorlarda, sarg’ich va surri tuslari bilan, quvnoq jingqarcha (chittak)lar sapchib yurishadi; ular xuddi ko’cha bolalariga o’xshaydilar: xuddi o’shalarday sho’x, xuddi o’shalarday to’xtamasdan qichqiradilar.

Mayda pashsha (chivin)larni quvishib, xuddi qora yoy singari, qaldirg’och va uzun qanotlar o’tib qolishadi; ular, quvonch va saodat ichida chirillashadilar: tez va chaqqon qanotlarg’a ega bo’lish qanday katta davlat!

Piniya*larning shoxlari qaltiraydi; bu piniyalarning o’zlari kattakon kosaga o’xshaydilar, go’yo u kosaga oltin may singari quyosh nuri to’ldirilgan.

Odamlar uyqudan uyg’onishadi.

Qanday odamlar?

Butun hayot ular uchun bir mehnatdan iborat bo’lgan odamlar; umr bo’yi yerni bezab va boyitib kelsalar ham, o’zlari beshikdan go’rgacha yo’qsulliqdan chiqmayturg’an odamlar.

Nega?

Sen buni keyin, katta bo’lg’aningdan so’ng bilasan, – shunda ham, albatta, bilishni istasang! Hali hozircha – butun quvonchlar va kuchlarning manbai bo’lgan quyoshni sevib o’rgan; hamma uchun baravar mehribon bo’lgan quyosh singari, quvnoq va mehribon bo’l.

Odamlar uyg’ondilar, ana endi o’z tolalariga, o’z ishlariga ketib boradilar; quyosh ularga qarab kuladi; u, dunyoda odam bolalari tomonidan qancha yaxshi ishlar qiling’anini biladi; u, yer yuzini bir zamonlar bir cho’l holida ko’rgan edi. Endi mana butun yer yuzi odam bolalarining, ya’ni ota-bobolarimiz va ulardan narigi jadlarimizning eng katta ishlari bilan obodlangan; bolalar uchun uncha anglashilib yetmaydigan jiddiy ishlar orasida, hamma o’yinchoqlarni, dunyodagi hamma yaxshi muyumlarni, shu jumladan kinoni ham o’sha odamlar qilg’an.

Oh, ular – bizning bobolarimiz qanday yaxshi ishlaganlar! Tegramizda, har tomondan ular tomonidan ishlangan kattakon ishlar uchun ularni qanday sevib, ulug’lash kerak!

Bu to’g’rida har qancha o’ylanilsa arziydi, bolalar: odam bolalarining yer yuzida nechik ishlaganlari to’g’risidag’i hikoya – yer yuzida eng qiziq hikoya bo’ladi…

Tola* va gulzorlarda qizil gullar ochilgan, har tomonda chechaklar kulgan, ularning ko’pi so’lishga ham yuz tutgan, lekin hammasining ko’zi – ko’m-ko’k osmonda, oltin quyoshda; ularning barqut bargchalari, shirin hidlarini tarqatib shitirashadilar; iliq, moviy va xush islar bilan to’lib yetgan havoda, erkalovchi bir qo’shiq ohistagina qanot qoqib keladi:

Go’zal – go’zaldir,

So’lgan choqda ham;

Bizlar sevamiz,

O’lgan choqda ham…

Kunduz keldi.

Kun oydin, bolalar; turmushingizda chiroylik kunlar ko’p bo’lsin, bolalar!

Men buni xafaholroq qilib yozdim.

Boshqa iloji yo’q: bola degan qirq yoshdan oshib ketsa, shunaqa jindak xafahol bo’lib qoladi.
