Undo deletion of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita with Hindi translation

Hi All,
When we try to visit श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता हिन्दीभाषाऽऽनुवादसहिता page, wikisource says that user VIGNERON has deleted this page and all its related sub-pages. Can someone with proper credentials please restore (undelete) them? Following is the message that we get:

Ramcharitmanas

The Ramcharitmanas was not written in Hindi but in Sanskrit. So it should not be included here. However, there is a traslation of the content in hindi written by someone else.59.94.181.128 09:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Shri Ram Charitmas was written in Avadhi by Goswami Tulasidas. Hindi (khadi boli) as we know it now, did not exist at that time. Awadhi can be treated as a dialect of Hindi, if you so like, similar to Brij Bhasha, in which Surdas wrote, or marvadi, in which MeeraBai wrote. Ram charit manas has a few shlokas at beginning of each chapter in sanskrit, but the main language was the languages of the masses at that time. So, it is quite OK to have it under hindi.

I agree with you that it is time to create a Hindi subdomain. Creating a Hindi subdomain may even speed-up the Hindi Wikisource project.

देवनागरी फोनेटिक टूल

हिन्दी विकिपेडिया पर हिन्दी लिखने के लिये जिस देवनागरी फोनेटिक टूल की व्यवस्था की गयी है, उसे हिन्दी-विकिसोर्स, हिन्दी-विकिकोट आदि पर भी उपलब्ध कराया जाय। यह बहुत ही उपयोगी टूल है। इसके उपल्ब्ध होने से हिन्दी में कन्टेन्ट-सृजन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

हिन्दी के अलावा मराठी, नेपाली, संस्कृत, काश्मीरी, नेपाल भाषा और भोजपुरी आदि के विकिपेडिया और विकिपेडिया के बन्धु प्रकल्पों पर भी इस टूल को उपलब्ध कराया जाय।

Heritage GLAM

Apologies for posting in English. Recently, collaborations were done with 6 government GLAM institutes in Punjab, including 3 museums, 2 libraries and 1 archive, partnership that was managed with numerous meetings and communications with officials that went around for nearly a year.

We hope to do capacity development and document Heritage via our project Wiki Loves Heritage - focused on rare documents, archive and books that have clear historical and cultural importance but have no online presence. Here is the link to the grant:

The archive, museum and library have an important source of content with great historical importance available exclusively in only that institute.

And documenting and digitizing them would open a great resource to general public and researchers at large who otherwise invest a lot of money to have restricted and very costly access to that source.

The project is one of the first to be proposed on such a level and such partnership has never been implemented in North India before. This project would be a pioneer in the future collaborations in Punjab and national level.

The infrastructure and resources required to make this project successful can be possible with the success of the grant. That being said, a small part of this project is related to Punjabi Wikisource and the digitization and proofreading would involve multiple languages. One of the other parts include creation of Articles on the museum/archive art and artists.

The pilot for this project is Municipal Library project that is ongoing and will continue till January 20. The learnings shared during the pilot project would be completed by that time. The progress of the project can be seen at its Meta Page. The project would officially get started after March and the Wikisource part and Wikipedia part would be done later in the year, which would leave enough time to implement the learnings in the project. A part of project apart from digitization and partnerships is outreach, so the outcome would measure in different terms, including content upload. It also addresses artists of North India in Wikiverse Commons Conference. Apart from that, there is a small part of proofreading on Hindi Wikisource. मेरा नाम रूपिका शर्मा है और मैं विकिमीडिआ फाउंडेशन द्वारा नियुक्त हिंदी भाषा की रणनीति समन्वयक हूँ। अगले कुछ महीने मैं हिंदी भाषा समुदाय के साथ रणनीति प्रक्रिया के बारे में चर्चाएँ करुँगी जो 2030 तक विकिमीडिया परियोजनाओं में होने वाले बदलाव को परिभाषित करेंगी।

2017 में आंदोलन रणनीति प्रक्रिया का पहला चक्र शुरू हुआ था जिसमे हिंदी समुदाय के सदस्यों ने भाग लिया था जिससे हम रणनीतिक दिशा की ओर बढ़ सके और अभी 2018 से 2020 तक दूसरा चक्र चल रहा है। इसमें हम विकिमीडिया की भविष्य की भूमिका को ध्यान में रखते हुए और अपनी संरचनाओं को अद्यतन करने के लिए एक सहयोगी रणनीति विकसित करने के लिए एक व्यापक चर्चा शुरू करेंगे जिससे हम 2030 तक अपनी रणनीतिक दिशा में सफलतापूर्वक आगे बढ़ सकें।

विकिमीडिया परियोजनाएं अपने उपयोगकर्ताओं की जरूरतों को बेहतर ढंग से कैसे पूरा करें? हिंदी समुदाय के सदस्यों को विचार-विमर्श में भाग लेकर इस रणनीतिक दिशा को प्रभावित करने का न्योता दिया जा रहा है।

नौ कार्यवाहक समूहों - भूमिकाएं और ज़िम्मेदारियां, आय के स्रोत, संसाधन आबंटन, विविधता, सहभागिताएं, क्षमता निर्माण, सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य, उत्पाद व प्रौद्योगिकी और वकालत ने दस्तावेज तैयार किए हैं जिनमें हमारे आंदोलन की संरचनाओं से संबंधित विषयों पर मुख्य प्रश्न हैं। मई के अंत तक, हिंदी समुदाय के प्रत्येक सदस्य के पास इन सवालों के जवाब देने और स्कोपिंग दस्तावेजों पर अपनी राय साझा करने का मौका है।

It gives us great pleasure to inform that the Wikisource Advance Training 2019 programme organised by CIS-A2K is going to be held from 11 October & 13 October 2019.This year CIS-A2K is seeking expressions of interest from interested communities in India for hosting the Wikisource Advance Training 2019.Wikisource Advance Training is a 3 (three) days residential training program for which attempts to aims to groom experienced Wiki-librarians for Indic language Wikisource to proofread even better quality content on Wikisource.

If you're interested in hosting the program, Following are the per-requests to propose a bid:

• Active local community which is willing to support conducting the event.
• At least 4 active Wikimedian ( not specific for Wikisource contributor) community members should come together and propose the city. They should reside in the city/nearby or states.
• Women Wiki-librarian in organizing team is highly recommended.
• City should have at least a national airport.
• Venue and accommodations should be available for the event dates.
• Participants size of Wikisource Advance Training generally will be around 22.
• Needed a venue which will have good internet connectivity and conference space for the above mentioned size of participants.
• Discussions/announcement with the local community by mailing list/village pump.

For participation in this program, you should apply here:

• The selection will be done by each Indic Wikisource community.
• We may select maximum 2 (two) Wiki-librarian from each language community.
• Eligibility criteria for supporting a candidate for a participation: He/she should have a minimum 50 proofread in their languages Wikisource before 15th August 2019.
• The applicant for participation in this program should have a minimum 500 proofread in their languages Wikisource before 15th August 2019.
• Self nomination can be done at with a new section.
• We encourage for female participants.

नमस्कार! विकिमीडिया आंदोलन रणनीति 2018-20 के लिए मसौदा सिफ़ारिशें (draft recommendations) प्रकाशित हो चुकीं हैं। सिफ़ारिशों को नौ विकिमीडिया कार्यकारी समूहों द्वारा विकसित किया गया है और हमारे आंदोलन के भविष्य के निर्माण में मदद करने के लिए यह एक महत्वपूर्ण उपकरण हैं। यह उन तरीकों पर पहली नज़र डालते हैं, जिनसे हम अपने आंदोलन की संरचनाओं को अपनी सामरिक दिशा में आगे बढ़ने में मदद कर सकते हैं।

• सिफ़ारिशें प्रारंभिक चरण ड्राफ्ट हैं, और इसको ध्यान में रखते हुए हम हर प्रकार की प्रतिक्रिया का स्वागत कर हैं।
  

सिफ़ारिशें अनुसंधानमूलक हैं और अभी विकास के विभिन्न चरणों में हैं तथा अलग-अलग मूल्यों का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं जो हमारे आंदोलन का हिस्सा हैं।
चर्चा और पारदर्शिता के उद्देश्य से सिफ़ारिशों का दस्तावेज़ सामुदायिक इनपुट के लिए खुला है, लेकिन इसे अंतिम दस्तावेज़ के बजाय प्रक्रिया के तहत अपूर्ण समझा जाना चाहिए।
सभी सिफ़ारिशें महत्वपूर्ण हैं, और यह कार्य समूहों द्वारा कई महीनों की कड़ी मेहनत का दर्शाती हैं। विकिमीडिया के विषयगत क्षेत्रों की विविधता की पूरी तस्वीर प्राप्त करने के लिए नौ विषयों की समीक्षा और विचार के लिए हम समुदाय को न्यौता देते हैं।
समय के साथ सिफ़ारिशें में काफी बदलाव होने की संभावना है। इन्हें समृद्ध करने के लिए आगे के शोध, चर्चा और सामुदायिक इनपुट की आवश्यकता है।

• इस चरण के लिए हम 15 सितंबर तक इस चरण के लिए इनपुट मांग रहे हैं।
  

अप्रैल 2019 से समुदाय की बातचीत विभिन्न बिंदुओं के साथ एक सतत और खुली सामुदायिक प्रक्रिया में रही है। हमारा वर्तमान चरण सितंबर के अंत में ट्यूनिस में हो रही हार्मोनाइजेशन स्प्रिंट (harmonization sprint) में कार्यकारी समूह के सदस्यों के मिलने से पहले मसौदा सिफ़ारिशों पर वर्तमान प्रतिक्रिया को सुलझाने पर केंद्रित है।
ड्राफ्ट सिफ़ारिशें पर सामुदायिक प्रतिक्रिया के लिए विकिमेनिया एक बड़ा अवसर था। प्रत्येक विषयगत क्षेत्र में न्यूनतम 25 से 80 तक लोग ने कार्यकारी समूह के सदस्यों के साथ बैठकर रणनीति बैठक (strategy space) में साथ मिलकर चर्चा की। कार्यकारी समूह के सदस्य अब उन विचारों और सिफ़ारिशें को शामिल करने के लिए काम कर रहे हैं जो उनके साथ साझा किए गए थे।
हार्मोनाइजेशन स्प्रिंट के बाद, कार्यकारी समूह अपने विचारों को एक साथ परिष्कृत करना जारी रखेंगे।

• अभी हम सिफ़ारिशें के विकास के "इनपुट" चरण में हैं। सिफ़ारिशें जो नवंबर 2019 तक तैयार और पूरी तरह से विकसित हो जाएंगी, उन्हें उनकी समीक्षा, प्रतिक्रिया और समर्थन के लिए ट्रस्ट के बोर्ड को भेज दिया जाएगा।
  

ट्रस्टी बोर्ड की ओर से उनकी भूमिका पर अच्छी तरह से वाक़िफ़ होने के लिए कृपया पूरा विवरण पढ़ें और समीक्षा करें।

बोर्ड सिफ़ारिशें की समीक्षा और समर्थन वहाँ करेगा जहाँ उचित होगा, उदाहरण के लिए, जहाँ कहीं विकिमीडिया फ़ाउंडेशन से मजबूत भूमिका और वित्तपोषण की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।
अन्य सिफ़ारिशें के समर्थन के लिए अलग-अलग समूहों की आवश्यकता होगी जिससे वे संबंधित हैं।
सभी सिफ़ारिशें नवंबर तक अंतिम रूप देने, प्रकाशित करने और साझा करने के लिए तैयार नहीं होंगी। कुछ मामलों में, आगे के शोध, चर्चा और सामुदायिक इनपुट की दुबारा और आवश्यकता होगी। अन्य मामलों में, कुछ सिफ़ारिशें का परित्याग किया जाएगा और बाकियों को बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा।
सिफ़ारिशें विकसित करने के क्रम में एकत्रित किए गए डाटा, प्रतिक्रिया और जानकारी का उपयोग कार्यान्वयन प्रक्रिया को सूचित करने के लिए किया जाएगा।

• विकिमनिया में विषयगत क्षेत्रों और कार्यकारी समूहों के बीच हुई चर्चा से यह स्पष्ट था कि यह सिफ़ारिशें ज्यादातर समर्थित सिद्धांतों के एक समूह, कार्यों या नियमों के एक से अधिक विशिष्ट समुच्चय का प्रतिनिधित्व करने की संभावना रखती हैं।
  

इनमें से अधिकांश को हमने पहले चरण में "क्यूँ" को प्राथमिकता दी: मुक्त ज्ञान आंदोलन के लिए समर्थन प्रणाली बनने लिए हमने ज्ञान इक्विटी और सेवा के रूप में ज्ञान की चर्चा की थी। हमारा वर्तमान चरण "क्या" का जवाब दे रहा है। "कैसे", "कब", और "कौन" के प्रश्न हमारे अगले चरण के लिए हैं, इसका कार्यान्वयन, जो 2020 में शुरू होगा - इसके सार्वजनिक परामर्श और संवाद का अपना अलग संस्करण होगा।

हार्मोनाइजेशन स्प्रिंट से पहले संरचनात्मक प्रतिक्रिया को सामूहिक रूप से संक्षेपित किया जा रहा है और एक सामुदायिक वार्तालाप संकलन रिपोर्ट में भेजा जा रहा है। इसे मेटा पर सार्वजनिक किया जाएगा।
प्रोग्रामेटिक फीडबैक को विषय के आधार पर वर्गीकृत किया जाएगा। और एक अलग रिपोर्ट में फिर से उठाया जाएगा और अगले साल कार्यान्वयन चरण में उपयोग किया जाएगा। मेटा पर भी इसे सार्वजनिक किया जाएगा।
