localized guidelines as precautionary emergency measures to help contain the spread of the disease in the municipality; NOW THEREFORE, L, ATTY. ALELI U. CONCEPCION, Municipal Mayor of the
Municipality of Balaoan, La Union, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order and ordain that:
SECTION 1. The sale, giving, offering, purchase, consumption and serving of
intoxicating drinks are hereby temporarily prohibited as a precautionary measure due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) to dissuade people from going out of their homes in compliance with strict home quarantine.
SECTION 2. Any person caught under the influence of liquor may be held in custody until he attains sobriety, without prejudice to the filing of the appropriate case against him.
SECTION 3. Anyone who sells, gives, offers, purchase or consume intoxicating drinks shall be dealt with accordingly.
SECTION 4. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall be effective immediately until it is lifted and/or amended accordingly when the prevailing situation warrants.
