WHEREAS, since the onslaught of the pandemic, this tradition has not been undertaken due to the various restrictions being imposed;
WHEREAS, the recent easing of up of restrictions started the slow process of economic recovery in the city and for people to live in the new normal setting:
WHEREAS, in support to these endeavors, the City Government intends to revive the tradition of establishing Christmas Bazaar in the city, thus the need to temporarily close portions of some streets for the purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Vera S. D. Rabago, duly seconded by all members present
BE IT ENACTED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session duly assembled that:
SECTION 1. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TEMPORARY FULL CLOSURE OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS IN THE CITY OF ALAMINOS, PANGASINAN TO WIT:
1. PORTION OF C.P. GARCIA STREET (BETWEEN PLAZA MARCELO OCHAVE AND ALAMINOS CITY HALL BUILDING) AND PORTION OF QUINTOS STREET (FROM INTERSECTION OF QUEZON AVENUE AND C.P. GARCIA STREET TO INTERSECTION OF C.P. GARCIA STREET AND QUINTOS STREET AND FROM INTERSECTION OF C.P. GARCIA STREET AND QUINTOS STREET TO INTERSECTION OF QUINTOS STREET AND SAN JOSE DRIVE) FROM NOVEMBER 21, 2022 TO JANUARY 9, 2023 FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CHRISTMAS BAZAAR; AND
2. PORTION OF RABAGO STREET FROM NOVEMBER 21, 2022 TO JANUARY 9, 2023 TO SERVE AS TEMPORARY PARKING
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
