ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TEMPORARY FULL CLOSURE OF PORTION OF QUEZON AVENUE, FROM THE INTERSECTION OF C.P. GARCIA STREET TO CORNER OF VERECIANO STREET (IN FRONT OF CITY HALL BUILDING UP TO NEPO MALL) ON MARCH 17, 2018 FROM 12:00 O'CLOCK NOON TO 7:00 O'CLOCK IN THE EVENING FOR THE "TALABA IHAW-IHAW FESTIVAL"
EXPLANATORY NOTE
WHEREAS, in celebration of the rich culture of the city and to further strengthen the promotion of the Hundred Islands National Park, the City of Alaminos, Pangasinan is celebrating the 2nd year of the "Hundred Islands Paraw Festival", which started on March 05, 2018 up to March 28, 2018;
WHEREAS, one of the highlights of the occasion is the "Talaba Ihaw-Ihaw Festival", slated on March 17, 2018, to promote locally produced oysters and reinforce the advocacy for sustainable aquaculture in the city;
WHEREAS, the proposed venue of the activity is along Quezon Avenue (in front of the City Hall Building up to the front side of the Nepo Mall);
WHEREAS, to ensure the smooth flow of the activity, there is a need to temporarily close portion of Quezon Avenue on March 17, 2018 from 12:00 o'clock noon to 7:00 o'clock in the evening;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Froebel A. Ranoy, duly seconded by Councilor Rany S. de Leon, Councilor Cirilo B. Radoc and Liga ng mga Barangay President Raul B. Bacay;
